When students reach Year 9, they will begin the GCSE Options process.
The year 9 Options process is designed to allow students to access a broad and balanced Curriculum at KS4, which will allow them to progress on to the next stage of their journey at Read Academy and beyond. Through our pathways model, students are guided to make choices which allow them to maximise their potential and prepare them for life both inside and outside the school setting. Our intention is to offer an inclusive curriculum, with the majority of subjects being accessible to all students.
