Once Upon a Time at The British Library

Year 2 students participated in a hands-on storytelling workshop where they explored the age-old traditions and history of stories. The session introduced them to the techniques and key components that make a great story from character building and plot sequencing to using expression and imagination.

The children absolutely loved the sequence of activities. Working together in groups, they re-told a traditional story using a combination of voice, words, and movement, bringing the tale to life in a creative and exciting way.

This workshop not only encouraged teamwork and collaboration, but also boosted pupil’s confidence in speaking and performing. It was a joy to see Year 2 students so engaged, imaginative, and enthusiastic. Well done, Year 2! 🌟
