Our ‘Kutub’ House System
At Read Academy, we have a house system in our Secondary phase. Given that we named the school ‘Read’ to represent the first revelation of the Holy Qur’aan. In the spirit of reading and holy books, pupils are divided into three houses named after the three holy books of Islam that preceded the Qur’aan, the Torah, the Zabur and the Injeel. Each house as a powerful, inspiring and meaningful story behind it containing 4 character attributes which are linked to each story.
Pupils compete in a variety of house events throughout the year and earn house points through good character, attendance, work in the community, academic excellence, contribution to school life and recognition for special achievements too.
