Learning in Primary

At Key Stages 1 and 2, pupils study a core academic curriculum of literacy, numeracy, reading, writing, science, geography, history, Islamic studies, Qur’aan, PE, PSHE, RSE and ICT.

The curriculum incorporates our key strands, attributes of excellence and the National Curriculum of England as well as the Cambridge Primary

Curriculum, providing a robust knowledge-rich framework to holistically develop future-forward learner values, skills, attributes and knowledge across a range of disciplines. Our teaching team scaffolds progress to a mastery learning approach, supporting pupil confidence and achievement with a balance of challenge and support. Learning is collaborative, personalised and technology-enabled. Lessons are grounded in inquiry, real-world discovery, problem-solving as well as the exploration of interesting cultural, moral environmental and global perspectives. This creates curious, fun and wonderfully engaging lessons where all students are inquisitive, develop character and are encouraged to have, and be motivated towards high aspirations.
